Interlachen Country Club Awarded the FTGA President’s Award
LAKELAND, Fla. (August 12, 2025): The Florida Turfgrass Association (FTGA) is pleased to announce that it has honored Interlachen Country Club for its dedication to turfgrass innovation and research. Representatives of Interlachen County Club will be presented with the FTGA President’s Award at the Annual Florida Turfgrass Conference on October 2, 2025, during the Annual Meeting and Awards Lunch.
“For their extraordinary commitment to turfgrass research, Interlachen Country Club is recognized as the recipient of the Florida Turfgrass Association’s President’s Award, says FTGA President Eric Dixon. Over the past 37 years, Interlachen has graciously hosted the Stuart Leventhal Turfgrass Research Tournament, helping raise over $200,000 to support critical research through the Florida Turfgrass Research Foundation and the Central Florida Golf Course Superintendents Association. Their consistent generosity has made a lasting impact on the advancement of turfgrass science. This award honors Interlachen’s legacy of leadership, partnership, and dedication to the future of turfgrass management in Florida.”
Superintendents Stuart Leventhal, CGCS, and Bryce Gibson, CGCS, have given back to the industry for decades by hosting the Annual Turfgrass Research Tournament, now the Stuart Leventhal, CGCS, Turfgrass Research Tournament. Join us in celebrating Interlachen Country Club and the two individuals who have devoted more than three decades and contributed significantly to Interlachen Country Club, the turfgrass industry, and advocacy and research on the industry’s behalf.
