Heather Russo is the FTGA executive director and has served the turfgrass industry for more than 10 years. Russo is responsible for the overall execution of the association's member relations, mission, strategy, special events and daily operations.
Previously she worked for states largest citrus organization Florida Citrus Mutual as the membership and network coordinator for six years. Her major responsibility was to create the association's member database for all citrus growers in the state of Florida. She also managed the three-day state-wide Citrus Annual Conference, Allied Membership and all membership activities. Prior to working for Mutual, she worked for Publix Super Markets, Inc. for 10 years. Russo has a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science from the University of South Florida.
Emily Cox has served the turfgrass industry for more than 4 years. In November 2016, she became the FTGA’s Media Operations Manager. Cox is responsible for nurturing and building the FTGA’s base of corporate partners and industry vendors. She will oversee the overall execution advertising, sponsorship's and memberships as well as the association's media relations.
Previously she worked for Hughes Supply in the Government Sales & Marketing division as well as supporting the FTGA in various capacities such as Association Assistant and Accounting Manager. Cox has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida.
Marcia Schultz grew up in Western New York received AAS degree from Community College majoring in Anthropology and Social Sciences. After graduating college and traveling around the country, Marcia finally settled in Lakeland in 1978 and has made this her home ever since. She has 3 grown children, and 5 grandchildren that are the joy of her life and keeps her busy. She recently retired after working several years as a Licensed Banker for a local bank. After taking a few months off, she joined FTGA as part time office assistant.
